Our EYFS garden is known as ‘The Outdoor Classroom’, an area where both reception classes are free to explore, investigate, imagine, play and learn, outside in the fresh air.
Whether the girls are planting their own flowers and herbs, taking observations of insects at the bug hotel, developing their gross motor skills on the climbing frame, or setting sail on the ‘HMS Holy Cross’ ship, there’s lots of fun to be had!
This outdoor space also benefits from an all-weather gazebo, allowing lessons and activities to take place outside all year round. The girls enjoy painting, playing in the sand pit and building on their STEM skills in a range of problem-solving experiments.
