Unbelievably, we are facing our final week in school as the lengthy Autumn term draws to a close. The girls have lots of festive fun to look forward to in the next few days with themed activities in class, our traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, a craft afternoon for the Pre-Prep department and the popular House Quiz; this sees the Junior girls in friendly competition between each house as they strive to answer a series of curriculum based and general knowledge questions as each different year groups work collaboratively whilst proudly sporting their house colours.
Please do join us if you can for our final Mass of term – 10:30am. in the Hall on Thursday 13th.December which will give us all a chance to reflect upon the message at the heart of this season and celebrate Christ’s birth. We will also be bidding a fond farewell to Mrs Whitfield, who retired earlier this term after 37 years in teaching and Mrs Earl who is leaving us after fourteen years with us here at Holy Cross; our heartfelt thanks and warm wishes are extended to both popular members of staff. Our second Advent candle will be casting its bright glow in school this week over our many and varied festive activities.
